Education

Education that transforms

Education is a structural pillar of Instituto Canta Brasil and runs through every programme and project. It is understood as a continuous, whole-person process: more than passing on content, it forms people as citizens — culturally, professionally and emotionally.

The Institute works with education that is inclusive, accessible and humane, aimed especially at people in situations of social vulnerability, and respectful of each participant's stage of life, context, talents and potential.

How the work is done

The approach is participatory, practical and integrated, weaving together art, culture, entrepreneurship, sustainability and human development so that learning means something and changes something.

Educational activities include

  • Complementary schooling and support with formal learning
  • Education through art and culture, as both teaching tool and means of expression
  • Technical, creative, digital and professional skills
  • Social and emotional skills, self-esteem and life planning
  • Psychosocial support and one-to-one guidance
  • Encouraging school retention, autonomy and social agency

Education at every stage of life

Educational activities are organised across generations:

  • Children — cognitive, emotional and cultural development
  • Adolescents — preparing for informed choices, financial literacy and first steps into work
  • Young people — technical and educational training, and entry into the world of work
  • Adults and families — productive skills and income generation
  • Older people — valuing knowledge, experience and lifelong learning

Why it matters

Education here is an instrument of social transformation, inclusion, equity and citizenship. It strengthens bonds, opens paths, and gives people a reason to believe the path is theirs to walk.
