Our story
A story built on social commitment, ethics, and love turned into action
Where we come from
Canta Brazil Social Organization is the United States arm of Instituto Canta Brazil, a Brazilian civil society organization founded on 4 July 2009 that has worked continuously for sixteen years in human development, citizenship and social inclusion.
The Institute is based in Goiânia, in the state of Goiás, with offices in Ribeirão Preto and Brasília, and works across several municipalities in Goiás. Its work is integrated and multidisciplinary: social assistance, education, art, culture, health, sport, income generation and professional training.
It also runs food security programmes, delivering emergency support to registered families, and carries environmental education, recycling and reuse into everything it does. Culture is a strategic pillar: events, performances, shows and festivals open to the community.
Where we are now
The United States organization is new, and we would rather tell you that plainly than let you assume otherwise. It is currently constituted as a limited liability company and operates digitally — we do not yet have a physical presence in the United States.
Establishing that presence formally is the next step, and it is one of the things your support makes possible. Until then, every contribution goes to the work already running in Brazil and to building the structure that will let this organization stand on its own here.
We are telling you this before you decide to give, not after. An organization that is honest about what it is not yet is easier to trust with what it is.
What the Institute stands for
Instituto Canta Brazil reaffirms its commitment to social transformation, to strengthening community bonds, and to building a fairer society — one where art, education and culture are not privileges but paths.
